Feed the poorest of the poor by providing them with regular rations. Help Rural India has been running this programme for the last few years.

Three out of 1000 rural families go without food every day

The first priority of HRI was to provide for those who were below the poverty line and those who could not manage even two square meals a day

These families were gathered and their monthly ration cards were made and given to them .

A systematic approach of distribution was adopted.

Ration is being given to them every month and to be entered on their ration card.

For many years HRI has been distributing ration to families in Mandi and Kullu districts and also to a large number of families in the villages around Hoshiarpur.

Also every year, particularly during the winter months, HRI organizes camps to distribute free clothes and blankets to the rural poor of the HRI adopted areas.
